Chhagan Bhujbal walks the ramp

Whether Maharashtra is ruled by model (read: ideal) politicians or not, is open to interpretation but ironically, senior leaders of both coalition partners running the state — NCP’s Chhagan Bhujbal and state Congress chief Kripashankar Singh — decided to play models and walk the ramp recently.
While Kripashankar walked at the end of Archana Kocchar’s show on Sunday, Chhagan Bhujbal and his nephew Sameer, who is an NCP MP from Nashik, were apparently showstoppers at Neeta Lulla’s show on Monday night.
Officially, both Kripashankar and Chhagan were there to extend support to the upcoming Mumbai Cyclothon. While both the politicians were supposed to sport designer wear, Kripashankar, who was wary of an adverse reaction, walked the ramp in his trademark white trousers and shirt.
While Neeta Lulla confirmed that she had designed the suits worn by the Bhujbals, she denied that Chhagan Bhujbal was the showstopper and said, “Mr Bhujbal was present on the ramp to support the cause of the Cyclothon.” Bhujbal too confirmed and said, “Yes, I did walk the ramp for a cause.”Follow us on Twitter for more stories
